Creating your ideal life!
You've watched "What the Bleep" and/or "The Secret" and your ideal life doesn't seem to be happening. Here are some tips as we set our course and direction for this year 2008, numerologically a One Year - New Beginnings.
Write down five intentions that you would like to create in your life, e.g. be in a genuinely conscious loving intimate relationship; financial ease; feeling good, well, fit, slimmer; align your work with what brings you joy; peaceful fun relationships (biological or created family), new environment to support the changes you intend to create in your life.
As you set your intentions for the year, be willing and committed to allow and embrace the falling away of or inner change of perspective that fully supports what you truly want. This is the tricky part! When we set in motion our commitment, our life begins to rearrange itself and we put on the brakes or resist the changes that take us out of the familiar. Take off the brakes! Embrace the opportunities and allow.
Our thoughts and feelings can be an asset or a detriment. Let the negative thoughts flow on through and embrace and repeat the positive thoughts and feelings. This is when gratitude and appreciation is our best partner. When negative thoughts pour in replace them with what you appreciate. Make a list and continually repeat what you do appreciate and are grateful for and let appreciation become the habit of your thoughts. What we appreciate grows and we create more.
Become aware of your needs: Sustenance (basic physical needs - air, water, food shelter, sexuality); Safety-protection; Love; Creativity; Empathy; Recreation/Play; Community-belonging/support; Autonomy (most wars fought over this); Need for Meaning. Become respone-able to your needs and take the action to meet them without expecting another to figure out what you need is and magically provide it. Anger, fear, sadness, doubt and limiting beliefs are the results of being unconscious to what we need. Become acutely aware of your needs and bring balance to your life. Working long hours, even when you love it, with no play/recreation, community, safety, or love (beginning with yourself) leaves you dried up in those areas zapping the joy right out of life leading to disease and sickness.
Each day read your list of intentions, feel how good it feels to have created your new life. Take one small step each day in the new direction. Be patient and adjust your intentions as you go along. Remember it has taken you years of conditioning to get where you are today and it takes courage and commitment to create new beliefs and a new life. Be gentle with yourself and have fun and laugh at your folly. Life is meant to be joyous.
